Mapa interactivo Topmapa
What it is and how it works

From your photo archive to a living map

Four steps, a map we build from the town's own resources, and a panel your tourism officer runs.

The product

Three layers on the same map

The first layer is the attractions: beaches, viewpoints, trails, heritage, museums, parks. It is the slow one to build, because every point carries its card, its photos, its text and a verified location. The second is services: where to eat, where to sleep, where to park, which pharmacy is open tonight and where the bus stops. It is the most used layer and the one almost nobody has right.

The third is the one that changes every week: events. The local festival, the market, Saturday's concert, Sunday's guided walk. The council publishes that layer from the panel, it appears on the map immediately and - if you want it to - also on the maps that nearby hotels hand their guests through Welcotel.

How it works

From your photo archive to a living map

You send us what you already have

Photos, texts, the map of resources, whatever exists. Most councils have more material than they think, scattered across folders, old leaflets and the previous website.

We build the map

We sort the resources by category, verify the locations on the ground, write the cards that are missing and prepare the 360-degree views. It is the long job, and it is the one your team does not have to do.

We embed it in your site

We give you one line of code that your content manager accepts without touching anything else. If an outside firm runs your website, we talk to them directly: it is half an hour of work on their side.

We show you the panel

A short session with whoever will publish the events. From then on you maintain what changes and we maintain what does not.

FAQ

No. The map sits on a page that already exists, through one line of code, and stays inside your site and your domain. Nothing to migrate and nothing to rebuild. If an outside firm runs your website, the work we ask of them is half an hour.

We do, during the initial build: we sort what you send, verify the locations, write what is missing and prepare the visual material. After that, maintaining the places is part of the annual licence, and your team publishes the events from the panel, which is what changes week to week.

Welcotel is the map hotels hand their guests on arrival. A town with Topmapa can be featured on the maps of nearby hotels and publish its events and festivals there. Put another way: you stop competing for people sitting at home and start talking to people already twenty minutes away by car.

It depends on the scope and the amount, and that is for your finance officer to judge. We prepare the technical memorandum and the price breakdown in whatever format you need, and if the procedure is a full tender, that too. It is a familiar situation and it does not scare us.

The map asks for no registration and collects no personal data from the visitor. What it does give you is aggregate statistics: what people search for, which cards they open, which days bring more traffic. That belongs to the council and is what tells you where to put the money next year.
