What is stored in your browser when you visit topmapa.com, and what it is for.
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies exist, such as local storage, which serve the same purpose.
This site uses no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and does not share your browsing with third parties for commercial purposes.
It does use your browser's local storage to remember the language you chose. That is technical information, it stays on your device, it is never sent to a server and it is exempt from the prior consent requirement.
If there is a video on the home page, it is not loaded until you press play. Until then no connection is made to the video service and nothing is stored in your browser.
Once you press play, the video provider may set its own cookies, subject to its own policy. We use the cookie-free playback mode wherever the provider offers it.
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which involves a connection to their servers that records the IP address for the technical purpose of delivery. No cookies are set for this reason.
You can clear local storage and cookies from your browser settings, and browse privately so that nothing is kept. Clearing the saved language simply means the site chooses one for you again.
If we add analytics or any technology requiring consent in future, we will update this page and put the corresponding banner in place before switching it on.
